Alongside my work as a composer, I maintain a consistent practice in figurative oil painting. My approach on canvas centers on the raw fundamentals of the medium: dramatic light, heavy texture, and psychological depth. These neo-expressionist and surreal works are not direct translations of my music, nor do they rely on them for context. Instead, they stand alone as independent visual studies. What unites both fields is a shared reliance on honest, focused craftsmanship and a preference for clear, deliberate execution over unnecessary ornamentation.
